As we rapidly approach our first birthday we ask where the last 12 months have gone?

Antiques on High Sidmouth opened its door last December as the sister company to our award-winning Oxford High street store and it has gone from strength to strength in the last year with 33 professional dealers some local and some from Oxford now housed in our smartly decorated premises.

Whilst our position in Fore Street naturally encourages tourists during the season, the people of Sidmouth have been so friendly and welcoming, and we seem to have made friends with so many people in the time we have been here.

Our goal has been to maintain all the traditional values that are so evident in our Oxford store which has traded from the same premises for 22 years maintaining a high level of good old-fashioned customer service ensuing our store is bright, warm, clean and tidy and is an inviting place to venture into.

We carry a wide and diverse range of stock from some high profile dealers, although inevitably we do get requests for pieces we don't carry, however Oxford is only a phone call away and more often than not we find we have the piece requested in store which can be in Sidmouth within a few days and with remote access CCTV in both stores the customer in Sidmouth can view the piece live on our system in Oxford from the comfort of our Fore street store here before it is dispatched, something no other Antiques centre can offer.

Today's arts and crafts are tomorrows antiques and we are pleased to have individual handmade pieces from members of the Oxfordshire craft guild in store as well as a very comprehensive range of Dolls house furniture and dolls houses always available.

Naturally we take all major credit and debit cards and as many will have seen we are very pro-active on social media, with Facebook Twitter and Instagram updated every day.

We lead from the front.
