As I sit writing this, England has just gone into another lockdown.

And while, hopefully this one won't last as long, there's no denying that it will feel every bit as difficult.

Unlike the spring lockdown, the weather almost certainly won't be as kind – and when it's cold and dark outside, let's face it, it's much easier to cosy up on the sofa in your pyjamas, eating your way through a packet of biscuits.

But just because your gym, fitness studio, and/or pool is temporarily closed, it doesn't mean your fitness goals need to be put on hold.

Don't forget, once you lose that motivation, it's ten times harder to get it back!

The blessing with what's being dubbed Lockdown 2.0 is that, this time, you are allowed outside for unlimited exercise.

You can even exercise with another person – the perfect excuse for catching up with your friend on a long lunch time walk or jog.

It's a great way for those that have once again swapped their office desk for the dining table to take time away from slouching over their laptops.

But even if the weather has other ideas, you can still do some stretching exercises at home to help elevate any back pain from poor posture.

If you need any specific stretching tips, please drop me a message on Facebook or Instagram and I'll be happy to help.

But even something as simple as walking around the house while on the phone will help.

If you're missing fitness classes, don't forget that LC Fitness is still running online.

You can join our #HealthywithLC membership, giving you access to numerous classes – including Pump, BeatBox, HIIT, and Flow – which can be done whenever you want, wherever you want.

I can also still offer 1:1 Personal Training sessions – outside of course, or online via Zoom.

Let's use Lockdown 2.0 to smash those fitness goals!
