Male extras are needed for a short film being shot in Sidmouth by Devon based production company Spinning Path.

The short film, called Shuttlecock, is a drama about the changing face of masculinity and how a traditional man might struggle to cope with his status in society - all centred around an amateur badminton club.

Director Tommy Gillard has been commissioned by Exeter Phoenix to create the film that will premiere at the Two Short Nights film festival at Exeter Phoenix later this year.

Having received the audience choice award at last years film festival Tommy said: "I'm really excited to be making this film with the support from Exeter Phoenix. We wanted to make a film focused on badminton as it's an under represented sport in film."

The film will be shot in Sidmouth College's sports hall which has plans to be demolished next year.

If you are interested in becoming an extra on the film, please email [email protected] for more info.
