This Easter Saturday Sidmouth will be treated to a Gourmet Garden Market, complete with live music from a New Orleans style jazz band.

The Gourmet Garden Market will be held on the Saturday, April 11, and again on July 18 at Blackmore Gardens.

The garden market's organiser, Laura Mead, said: "Due to the success of last year's event (previously named The Sidmouth Food Festival) we have chosen to go bigger and even better this year.

"We will be showcasing talented, creative craftspeople and artists and some of the very best artisan producers of high-quality food and drink from the region. And to celebrate our lovely new venue we have changed the name to the Gourmet Garden Market.

"We couldn't ask for a nicer setting for our event, this year. Our traders' gazebos will be nestled amongst the mature trees and flower beds of Blackmore Gardens, right in the heart of the town."

Running from 10am until 4pm the garden market will be showcasing 40 local producers and creators including artwork, skin care, jewellery, award-winning gin, distilled on Dartmoor; beautiful cakes, baked in Sidmouth; traditional cured meats from the Exe Estuary; handmade pies; homemade fudge, handmade chocolates, iced biscuits and ice cream served from 'the cutest tuktuk you've ever seen!'.

For those who are just too hungry to wait, there will be a host of street food from gourmet burgers, freshly made pizza, authentic Caribbean and the massively popular World Food Wraps.

Wash it all down with something from the market's horsebox bar while listening to a live New Orleans style jazz band.
