Two further deaths have been confirmed in connection with the outbreak of Covid-19 at the Holmesley Care Home in Sidford.

It brings the total number of deaths, all believed to be Covid-related, to 11 since February 25.

A 57-year-old woman from Sidmouth and a 30-year-old man from Exeter, arrested last month on suspicion of wilful neglect under the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015, remain on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police say they're not planning any other arrests in relation to the ongoing enquiry.

The investigation is currently being led by Devon & Cornwall Police in partnership with a multi-agency response to safeguard the home's residents.

Specialist officers are continuing to communicate with the families of the deceased residents.
