The first in a series of 'Climate Conversation' events takes place at The Ham and the Shed in the Fisherman's Yard, Sidmouth, on Sunday, July 18, from 11am until 4pm.

It's been organised through a collaboration between Honiton's Thelma Hulbert Gallery in collaboration with Sidmouth Coastal Community Hub. The gallery is providing its mobile Creative Cabin, with the SCCH arranging the activities.

Families can enjoy crafts including a pot-making demo with Dave French from East Devon Withy Pots, and story-telling from the Coral garden.

Writer, broadcaster and marine biologist Helen Scales will be giving a talk and signing her new book.

There will be music, a bar and food including Vanilli Bean ice-cream, Angel Chops cakes and fish baps from Sidmouth Trawlers.

Climate Conversations focuses on the themes of nature, food, energy and reduce/reuse/recycle. It brings together local activists and project groups, with academics and artists specialising in these fields.
