Autumn News from Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce

Sidmouth Chamber attended the last Sidmouth Town Council Environment Committee when a new Environment policy was adopted. Its mission statement is: "to coordinate and improve the natural and built environment of the Sid Valley".
We represent the Chamber four times a year at the Town Council Tourism and Economy Committee – an offshoot being a new Tourism and Festivals meeting. We recently updated all our member on the rebranding of Visit Sidmouth.
Sidmouth Classic Car Show – everyone had a brilliant day with lots of fascinating cars to see and we celebrated the life of Matt Portman with a new award 'The Matt Portman Pride of Ownership Award'.
We hold Open Breakfasts for general discussion and with speakers. This month we issued government guidelines for Brexit Resources for Business.
Bunting – Sidmouth Scaffolding have taken it down for the winter but left some of the flags in place at the request of the Royal British Legion for Remembrance Day.
Lights Switch On – Saturday, November 16, at 5.30pm, organised by Sidmouth Town Council. The Chamber run the Golden Ticket Draw, with a £100 prize donated by Gliddons Toyshop in Church Street.
Late Night Shopping – Friday, December 6, Sidmouth will be open till 8pm for shopping, offers, music and fun.
Friday, November 8, Coffee, Croissants and Chat at The Loft, Old Fore Street – 9am to 10am. Are you a new business in the Sid Valley, with or without business premises? Come and hear what the Chamber does and have your say, we would love to hear your thoughts.
