Sidmouth's Grand Fireworks Display is making a comeback.

The town council has confirmed that the display will take place at 9.30pm on Saturday, August 28 over the sea, providing a fantastic view from the Esplanade. It's being

supported by David Rowland's fun fair.

The fair will be on the Ham from Wednesday, August 25 until Saturday. Friday, August 27 sees the Sidmouth Airshow, starting at 5.30pm, featuring aircraft including the Battle of

Britain Memorial Flight Dakota, the Royal Navy Wildcat and culminating in the Red Arrows.

However, the 2021 airshow and visit from the Red Arrows could be the last unless enough donations are collected from the public.

An urgent appeal is being made for people to volunteer as collectors, gathering donations from people across the seafront, Salcombe and Peak Hills, and Connaught Gardens, from 4pm until 7.30pm on August 27.

Anyone willing to help can register by contacting Sidmouth Town Council at [email protected] and the organising team will be back in touch with locations and contact details for the day.
