The new Sidmouth Visitor Guide is now available to locals and tourists alike.

Launching the new Visit Sidmouth brand last year, in partnership with the local team at Voyage Travel Marketing, created the opportunity to refresh the long established annual town guide, and official visitor map.

Sidmouth Town Councillor Louise Thompson said: "The new edition carries the new brand and has had a comprehensive editorial overhaul that very much emphasises the upmarket nature of Sidmouth and the Sid Valley as a highly desirable destination to all demographics.

"We have simultaneously increased our level of digital marketing reach with the aim of boosting footfall year round to make Sidmouth a town of choice for the traditional British seaside holiday, day trip, activity based travel and out of season staycations.

"Many thanks to the team at Voyage for design and copy, the team at STC for advertising sales and logistics, and to three of our talented local photographers for use of their images, including Kyle Baker, Sarah Hall, Simon Horn.

"As one of the first projects to market from the Tourism and Economy committee we are delighted with the new product and direction: the new Visit Sidmouth brand forms part of our long term strategy to increase economic resilience of the town and support our local high street and employment opportunities.

"We enjoyed strong support form the business community for the new initiatives and look forward to building on this for 2021.

Louise added: "On a personal note I have to say reading the guide you realise just how much there is to do in the Sid Valley, and just how well served we are with amenities and activities - if you didn't already live here it makes you wish you did."

A spokesperson for Sidmouth Town Council said: "Sidmouth Town Council is proud to continue to do this work as part of its new Tourism Promotion Strategy which is being continuously honed and evolved and will include a visitor survey and revised VisitSidmouth website this year.

"The Town Council is excited to be supporting our valued local businesses and promoting Sidmouth at every opportunity to boost footfall and local employment opportunities."
