Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a chimney fire at the above location.

Fire control immediately mobilised on appliance from Lyme Regis to attend this incident.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a chimney fire at a two storey property. The crew promptly got to work with chimney equipment, one hose reel jet, 9.5 metre ladder and working at height equipment.

The incident commander requested an additional appliance with a fog spike to penetrate the chimney to extinguish the fire to attend the incident.

Fire control immediately mobilised an additional appliance from Axminster to attend this incident.

On the arrival of Axminster appliance the crew got to work with the fog spike to penetrate the chimney working on the second floor extinguish the fire.

The incident commander conducted a through investigation with a thermal imaging camera to ensure no fire or heat had spread to adjoining fixtures.

The incident commander handed the incident over to the occupier.
