Claire Wright secured 25,869 votes in December's General Election.

Independent General Election contender Claire Wright and her 'quest to become an MP' will feature in a BBC documentary programme tonight.

BBC South West presenter Jemma Woodman will be taking a look back at Claire Wright's campaign to end 150 years of Conservative rule in the East Devon constituency in tonight's Inside Out programme on BBC One.

Viewers can expect a cameo from Hugh Grant, who visited the area to support Claire's bid to become East Devon's next MP.

The election last year was Claire Wright's third attempt to take the seat. She fended off everyone apart from Conservative candidate, Simon Jupp, in December's election.

She received more than 40% of the vote, while Mr Jupp received just over 50%.

Claire Wright is also the county councillor for the Otter Valley.

If you are interested in watching tonight's programme tune into BBC One at 7.30pm.
