There has been a crash on an important road in and out of Sidmouth this morning.

Police report a crash has occurred on Peak Hill Road and is causing disruption in both directions between Peak Hill Road and The Esplanade.

The incident is believed to have taken place at around 8.40am today.

Traffic is coping well in the area but motorists are advised to find an alternative route where possible.
