Date: 02.10.2018Time: 16:05Location: Ash Grove, SeatonThree appliances from Colyton, Axminster and Lyme Regis stations were mobilised to a report of a fire in a kitchen on Ash Grove, Seaton.On arrival the first crew reported smoke issuing so entered with two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher to investigate.At 16:24 the fire was confirmed extinguished, and crews began ventilating the property with a positive pressure ventilation fan.The fire was involving a chip pan in the kitchen of a semi-detached single storey property. Crews used one dry powder extinguisher and one hose reel jet to put out the fire, and a thermal imaging camera to check for fire spread. The pan was destroyed by fire, and the kitchen suffered 10% fire damage and 90% smoke damage.The cause of fire was accidental. There were no casualties.
