Domestic Property Fire at Harbour Road, Seaton

Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Seaton, one from Axminster and an Operational Assurance Officer.

On arrival crews confirmed a small fire in a microwave and got to work extinguishing the fire using two breathing apparatus wearers, one hose reel jet and one covering jet. An ambulance was also requested for a female suffering from mild smoke inhalation.

At 1733hrs crews confirmed that the fire was out and the microwave had been removed to open air. A positive pressure ventilation fan was also being used to remove smoke logging from the property.

Final Details - this was a fire in a ground floor apartment measuring approx. 5m x 10m. The fire involved a microwave and caused 20% smoke damage to the kitchen. Crews used two breathing apparatus wearers, one hose reel jet, one covering jet, one thermal imaging camera and one positive pressure ventilation fan.
