The president and deputy chairman political of the East Devon Conservative Association were presented with an award at the announcement of the Conservative Leadership Ballot on 5 September.

Simon Card OBE and Mike Goodman received the certificate for third place (South West) in the National Conservative Association Incentive Scheme.

President Simon Card said: "We were very proud to represent the East Devon Conservative Association at the award ceremony.

"This award signified so much hard work by our members.

"Mike and I were also very pleased to attend the announcement of the Leadership Ballot in the hall at the QE2.
