Elderly woman taken to hospital after being knocked under truck in Sidmouth

A pedestrian in her 80s who was knocked under a Ford Transit tipper truck on Sidmouth High Street has been taken to hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police were called to the scene just before 10.30am today (Tuesday 5 September), and the road was reopened at 11.40am.

The fire and ambulance services and an air ambulance also attended the incident.
