An ex-paratrooper who launched a book he wrote about walking the coastline of the UK in Sidmouth has completed his almost six-year journey.

Christian Lewis, 43, from Swansea, signed copies of Finding Hildasay with his fiancée Kate Barron at Winstone's Bookshop on 4 February this year.

He raised over £500k for the Armed Forces charity SSAFA during the trek, which he began on 1 August 2017 on Llangennith beach on the Gower Peninsula in Wales.

Sir Andrew Gregory, CEO of SSAFA said: "The word 'inspiration' is often overused; Chris really is an inspiration. I urge you to read his tale."

The trip saw Christian Lewis walk around Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, spend three months on an uninhabited island called Hildasay and walk through Devon and Cornwall before reaching his starting point almost six years later.

You can purchase a copy of the book from Winstone's Bookshop online here.
