Why not enjoy the bounties of autumn by picking and pressing your own apple juice? All for free.

Bring a flask and join the Wild East Devon rangers at Knapp Local Nature Reserve for a morning of harvesting in the orchard on Wednesday, October 23.

A spokesperson for Wild East Devon, the group organising the event, said: "Celebrate the harvest with a glass of delicious apple juice which has been picked and pressed at The Knapp orchard... truly as fresh as it gets.

"Why not bring a picnic to enjoy the views from this gem of a reserve."

The event is open to all and 'well behaved' dogs are also welcome. There is roadside parking available on Station Road.

The apple pressing event takes place on Wednesday, October 23, between 10.30am and 1.30pm at The Knapp Local Nature Reserve, Station Road, Sidmouth.

No booking is necessary. If you would like more information call 01395 517557 or email [email protected].
