Every week Sidmouth Nub News highlights an Event of the Week – something happening in the next few days that you might like to go to.

There are also event listings in the What's On section of the site – and anyone can add their own events, free of charge.

So if you're organising a pub quiz, a walk, an exhibition, a sporting fixture or a live gig (when restrictions allow) or anything you'd like to promote, just go to the What's On section and hit Nub It.

This week's Event of the Week is actually a series of workshops taking place this month – with the first on Sunday, July 4.

The programme has been developed by the Sidmouth Coastal Community Hub, and is designed to explore creativity and build confidence.

The workshops are taking place in the Fishermen's Shed in the Fishermen's Yard at the Ham, just off Sidmouth seafront.

They're fun, informal, and very small – each with just six places. No experience is necessary, and all materials are supplied. The workshops are suitable for anyone aged 16 years and over, unless otherwise specified.

They are also free, as part of a pilot project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Here are the workshops taking place in July, which still have places available:

Sunday, July 4, 10.30am to 1.00pm: Concertina Coastal Sketchbook with Jen Bennett

Wednesday, July 7, 10.30am to 1.00pm: Life Drawing with artist model Sophie Larter & Kat Heueston

Friday, July 9, 10.30am - 12.30pm: Mark Making with Lucy Gichuki

Wednesday, July 14, 10.30 to 1.00pm: Fabric Printing with Coco Hodgkinson

Friday, July 16, 10.30 - 1.00pm: Bunting Making with Mary Bagwell
