Organisers of Sidmouth International Jazz and Blues Festival 2023 have announced whom will be performing at its free live music events.

This year's programme includes four headline evening concerts and three days of free music from 27 to 29 May on the festival's outdoor stage at Blackmore Gardens.

Artists performing there include Faye Patton, The Violet Jive, Dom Pipkin and The Ikos, Connor Selby, Orpheus Latin band, the Adam Sweet band, Jazz Defenders, All Jazzed Up, Hannah Williams and the Affirmations.

There will also be free live music performances at various local venues and music workshops and other outreach community events from 26 to 29 May.

The venues include Rincon Coffee, The Courtyard Café, The Chattery Sidmouth, Radway Inn, Dukes, The Swan Inn, The Kings Arms Otterton, The Balfour Arms, 14 Miles East, The Marine and the Blue Ball Sidford and a special afternoon BBQ with swing and jazz at the Volunteer Inn Sidmouth on Sunday 28 May at 4pm.

Festival Director Ian Bowden said: "We are incredibly proud of the diverse quality of music performances on offer during the festival this year. Our ethos is quality over quantity and there really is something for everyone to enjoy. Whilst this is only our second year, we are so encouraged by the tremendous support that we have received from the Sidmouth community and businesses, and from all the venues that are hosting live music.

"It will be a fabulous festival and we want everyone that attends with friends and family to have the best possible experience and to enjoy all that Sidmouth has to offer."

The main headline evening concert acts are Curtis Stigers, The Brand New Heavies, Mud Morganfield, and Courtney Pine.

A recent addition to the ticketed programme is the Benoit Viellefon Hot Club who will be performing Parisian Gypsy jazz and swing on Monday 29 May at 3pm at Sidmouth Conservative Club.
