Free packed lunches for children are being given out to families in need thanks to the owners of a Sidmouth pub.

Landlady Deborah Bennett, of the Balfour Arms, have launched the drive to help families with young children who are not able to get support during the school holidays - potentially leaving many vulnerable young children hungry.

Deborah said: "We would like to offer a free children's packed lunch to any family in Sidmouth that is struggling during these already hard times."

Private message the Balfour Arms on Facebook or call 01395 513443 to book a packed lunch for collection, for between Monday and Friday, during half term.

To ensure the lunches go to the right people, parents have been asked to show proof of address in Sidmouth, and to have their child(ren) with them upon collection.

Collection will be available between 11am and 12pm.
