Sidmouth Town Council has now confirmed the full line-up of this year's airshow on Friday 26 August to kick off the regatta weekend.

The show will start at around 5.15pm with a first-time appearance for Team Raven, a six-plane formation of the ultra-manoeuvrable Van's RV-8 aerobatic mono-wing aircraft.

The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfires will then take to the skies, followed by Rich Goodwin in his Pitts Biplane performing aerobatic manoeuvres.

The RAF Aerobatic Team, AKA the Red Arrows, will then make an appearance.

Extra parking will reportedly be provided on the day and the usual water safety zone will be enforced to enable watercraft to view from a safe distance.

Further details are expected to be released closer to the show.

Volunteers wanted

The town council is also seeking volunteers to help collect money towards the show.

They will be needed from 4pm across the seafront, Salcombe Hill, Peak Hill, and Connaught Gardens collecting donations via buckets and contactless payment.

If you would like to be a volunteer, email [email protected].
