Wondering what to do with your Christmas tree?

Real trees can be put into your green recycling bin if small enough, taken to a council site for recycling, or collected by local Young Farmers in exchange for a donation to their charity.

Trees can be taken to Sidmouth's Manor Road car park on Wednesday, January 6, between 8.30am and 12pm. East Devon District Council will collect the trees and turn them into wood chippings that can be used as compost.

Alternatively, Honiton Young Farmers are offering to come and collect trees from addresses in Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary. They are raising money for the Young Farmers Charity to help those in need of support because of Covid-19; the amount of the donation is at your discretion.

The collections will be made this weekend, Saturday January 9 and Sunday 10. For collections from Sidmouth and Sidbury, call 07469 236 077. For Ottery and Feniton, call 07596 676 075. For further information, email [email protected]
