Deputy Director of Advocacy and Campaigns - Sidmouth
In order to affect change on a global scale we are looking to recruit a Deputy Director of Advocacy and Campaigns. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity, to help deliver a goal, of a world where donkeys and mules live free from suffering, and their contribution to humanity is fully valued.
Position: Deputy Director of Advocacy and Campaigns
Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon – "an area of outstanding natural beauty"
Hours: Full-time (flexible working considered)
Salary: £60,000
Contract: Permanent – Starting as soon as possible
Benefits: Generous annual leave, pension scheme, Healthshield plan, confidential counselling service, subsidised restaurant, free parking, enhanced maternity/paternity benefits, Life Assurance Scheme, 31 day's holiday per year, inclusive of the 8 statutory public holidays. The Role
The challenge of delivering better welfare on a global scale for millions of donkeys and mules is complex and ever changing. As Deputy Director of Advocacy and Campaigns, you will work closely with the Director of Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns to lead on the strategic delivery of the charities global campaigns and advocacy aims.
You will design and implement strategies to influence decision-makers and build powerful partnerships for change, and will ensure advocacy and campaigns are collaborative and mutually supportive to influence key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
The Deputy Director of Advocacy and Campaigns position is based in Sidmouth Devon; however flexible working arrangements for the right candidate will be considered. This post will require international travel.
About You
Possessing previous experience in a strategic advocacy and campaigns leadership role, you will be a proactive and resourceful individual able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the global advocacy and campaigns environment.
You will:
-Be able to assess trends and developments likely to affect advocacy and campaigns.
-Be able to work closely with other NGOs, partnerships and networks.-Have experience of managing a small team.
-Possess a proven natural ability to engage and develop people.-Be an expert communicator.
-Have solid experience of influencing the UN and its various agencies, governments and other influential stakeholders.-Have experience of working internationally in a cross-departmental leadership position.
-Have experience of working with the media at a national and international level.-Have a strong conceptual understanding of animal welfare and international development.

Experienced Veterinary Surgeon - Ottery St Mary
Seven Animal Health is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to work as a permanent member of staff within an established veterinary practice on the beautiful South Devon Coast.
The role:
You will be involved in hands-on veterinary care of small animals, providing both emergency and routine healthcare. You will work alongside other Veterinary Surgeons often, as well as experienced Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
