Network Surveyor – Sidmouth
Cathedral Appointments are currently seeking a number of Installation Engineers to join our client's rapidly growing telecommunications company. Your role will be survey 3rd party utility infrastructure and conduct duct and chamber inspections to determine their feasibility for use. This will be in aid of the Network Design team in Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping the route for networks. Much of this work will be based outside and involve lots of walking. To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience installing cabling into the ground. Any FTTx experience would be highly beneficial.
Responsibilities:
-Surveying 3rd party utility infrastructure
-Conducting duct and chamber inspections to determine their feasibility-Ensure that data is quality assured and acquired adhering to procedures
-Validating network designs-Comply with HSE rules policies and procedures and wear personal protective equipment
-Walking and standing for extended periods Requirements: -Experience in cable installation ideally with fibre networks-Service delivery experience within the telecoms industry, ideally FTTx
-Ideally experience with surveying techniques and mapping applications-Excellent communication skills
-A reasonable fitness level with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods-NRSWA Operative Unit 2 and any other relevant safety courses

Service Delivery Engineer – Sidmouth
Cathedral Appointments are currently seeking a number of Service Delivery Engineers to join our client's fast-growing and innovative business. They are a new business with excellent backing who are bringing fibre optic to the rural South West. Your role will be to provide installation services for the company within the customers' premises. Providing sound installation along with excellent customer service to both residential and business customers will be key to this role. You will need to be experienced in external and internal cabling with Street works unit 2 signing, lighting and guarding NRSWA.
Responsibilities:
-Completion of site surveys to record the best route for cabling
-Installation of fibre in both residential and business premises-Undertake appropriate testing to make sure that the customer will receive a good service
-Working alongside other teams to troubleshoot any technical queries-Ensuring that installations are compliant with relevant requirements
-Working in an environment involving lifting, outside weather and occasionally risk Requirements: -External and internal cabling experience-NRSWA Unit 2
-Confined spaces low and high risk-Overhead accreditation preferred
-Full UK driving license with at least 1 year of experience driving-Ideally some experience working with fibre optic cabling
-Ability to use MS Office and software programs used for storage of test equipment results-Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
