Sidmouth author releases children's book about feelings

2020 has been a tough year for many adults, and children alike, this has inspired me to write my new book - 'Betty the Bee - what makes me, ME!'

I self published and released it in July.

I wanted to create a book which helped younger children to learn about feelings and mindsets and to help open up conversations about emotions of all kinds.

I feel there can be a lot of pressure on children to have to 'be brave' or 'be strong' whilst other feelings can be ignored or pushed aside.

I hope that children will connect with Betty the Bee and that she can help them understand that they might feel all kinds of feelings at anyone time, and that's ok.

I was inspired initially to write my first two books, Hilda's Forest and Otto's Ocean when I had my daughter two years ago and I wanted to do my bit to educate children on looking after our planet.

Both of my first two books are based around pollution on the land and in the sea and are aimed at children of all ages, but perfect for three to eight year olds.

All of my books can be purchased locally at Flutterbys or Paragon Books in Sidmouth, 'The Baby Boutique '- Ottery St Mary and 'Blooming Kids' in Exmouth.

If you'd like to order a signed copy, dedicated to a person of your choice, you can direct message through @hildasplanet on Facebook, @hildasplanet_childrensbooks on Instagram or email me; [email protected] so I can arrange free local delivery.

You can also order through the website or, if you're not in the UK, on Amazon.
