Man cut from vehicle after 'serious' crash near Sidbury – A375 closed both ways

A man had to be cut from his vehicle after a 'serious accident' on the A375 this morning.

The incident is believed to have taken place at around 6am today near Putts Corner on the A375.

Police have been closed the road between the Hare and Hounds Pub and the A375 slip road.

Two fire crews from Sidmouth were sent to the scene along with a 'Heavy Rescue Vehicle'.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment and vehicle stabilisation equipment to free the man from his vehicle.

The man was left in the care of paramedics from the South West Ambulance Service.
