Man dies in hospital after accident in Newton Poppleford

A 93-year-old man who was badly injured in a road accident in Newton Poppleford last Wednesday has died in hospital.

Kenneth Cooper was walking through the village when he was in collision with a car on the A3052 High Street.

He was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and died on December 26. His next of kin have been informed.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened at 4.50pm and involved a Ford Fiesta.

Anyone who can help their investigation is asked to call 101, quoting log 753 of 23 December 2020.
