A man who was reported missing last week, sparking extensive searches in the Sidmouth area, has been found.

Maurice Button, 69, from Newton Abbot, had last been seen getting off a bus in Sidmouth town centre at 2.45pm on Wednesday, April 14.

Sidmouth lifeboat helped police to search the shoreline, beaches and cliffs from Ladram Bay to Salcombe Regis that evening, while the Beer Coastguard Rescue Team checked the area from Salcombe hill to Peak Hill along the coast path, and nearby woodland.

Further searches were carried out on Thursday morning and evening.

Police said today that Mr Button has been found, and they haven't given any further details.
