Mental health service expanding into Sidmouth seeks support worker

Mental health service Headlight is expanding its services to cover Sidmouth and is looking for a new Mental Health Support Worker.

Headlight is Action East Devon's peer-support service for young people with mental health needs.

Building on the success of its services in Axminster and Ottery St Mary Headlight has secured funding to deliver the service in Sidmouth and is looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to join its team of dedicated staff and volunteers.

Main tasks include: Supporting young people aged 13-24 with mental health issues to attend the Headlight sessions in Sidmouth; to act as first point of contact for young people; assisting in the running of evening support sessions; processing referrals and assessing the needs of young people on a 1:1 basis; liaising with referrers, parents and young people.
