Police have revealed that a man died in a crash on Trow Hill near Sidmouth last night.

He was riding a black Aprilia motorbike which collided with a Volkswagen Polo at around 8.35pm.

The biker suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The road was closed in both directions until 5.45am this morning (Wednesday, August 18) as a full forensic investigation of the scene took place, and police are working to establish the cause of the accident.
