Ottery firefighters put out oil drum fire

Firefighters from Ottery St Mary and Honiton were called out to Feniton on Saturday evening (25 March) just before 8pm.

When they arrived, they found a fire involving an oil drum in the rear garden of a property.

They put it out and handed over to the police.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Control mobilised two fire appliances from Ottery St Mary and Honiton.

"Once on scene crews confirmed fire in rear garden of property involving an oil drum.

"Crews were using one hose reel jet to extinguish. Crews handed incident over to police."
