Person taken to hospital after A3052 Sidford crash
A driver has been taken to hospital after suffering an apparent "medical episode" at the wheel and being involved in a crash on the A3052 at Sidford this afternoon (Wednesday 5 October).
Police were called out to the crash between a car and a van at around 2.25pm.
The condition of the individual, who was taken to hospital in an ambulance, is described as "serious".
The road was closed for around an hour.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a van on the A3052 at Sidford at around 2.25pm today, Wednesday 5 October.
"Emergency services attended. It appears that the driver of one of the vehicles had a medical episode at the wheel and has been taken to hospital by land ambulance in a serious condition.
"The road was closed for a time but was reopened at around 3.35pm."
