Sidmouth residents will be able to enjoy Pete Allen's brand of 'happy traditional jazz' again soon, with monthly concerts starting up this month after a long break.

Pete and his new band will be performing on Wednesday, July 21, and again on the third Wednesday of each month.

The concerts will be held from 2.30pm until 5pm at the Blue Ball Inn, Stevens Cross, Sidford, EX10 9QL.

Admission will be £12.50, payable at the door, but pre-booking will be necessary. If the number of people who pre-book fails to reach the necessary minimum, that gig will regrettably have to be cancelled to avoid a loss, and everyone will be notified if at all possible.

Pete says he's 'delighted' to be coming back to resume the monthly shows. He has a new repertoire and a new, entertaining line-up comprising himself (clarinet/saxophones/banjo), Roger Marks (trombone), James Clemas (piano/vocals), Dave Hanratty (bass) and Jim Newton (drums). They are all looking forward tremendously to performing again.
