Police stop tractor driver with unstrapped hay bale load on A3052 near Sidmouth

Officers have reported the driver (Devon and Cornwall Police)

Police have reported the driver of a tractor pulling a trailer of unstrapped hay bales on the A3052 near Sidmouth.

Officers spoke to the individual about a previous incident in which a cyclist was seriously injured after a hay bale fell onto them.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "This driver on the A3052 Sidmouth, Devon was aware of the RTC a few years ago when a bale of hay fell on a cyclist but still didn't strap his load!

"Unsurprisingly the driver was reported!"
