POLICE UPDATE: Pedestrian hit by car on Sidmouth High Street

Police have closed Sidmouth High Street due to an incident which took place at approximately 10am this morning.

The B3175 one-way street which runs through the town centre is currently closed from All Saints Road to B3176 The Esplanade.

According to a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall police: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the High Street in Sidmouth at around 10am this morning between a pedestrian and a car.

"A 90-year-old man has been taken to hospital, injuries at this time do not appear to be serious."
