Families that are struggling to afford food this Christmas need your help.

Sid Valley Foodbank are appealing for Christmas items to be donated, from November 22, to fill festive hampers for needy families.

The charity usually sends out around 60 hampers to those they know will not be able to afford Christmas goodies.

So far they have collected some lovely knitted teddies from the Sidford WI 'Woolly Women' and a cash donation raised from a Halloween Fun run.

Pobby and Blue kindly donated 20 gift sets.

Each week in the run up to the festive season, the food bank runs an advent scheme asking residents to donate a variety of items.
