Sid Valley Food Bank is well stocked and is doing well thanks to a super band of volunteers and generous residents.

East Devon District Council (EDDC) is now offering grants, of between £500 and £2,500, to help food related projects during the coronavirus crisis.

However the wonderful Sidmouth community has ensured Sid Valley Food Bank is still doing well.

Renée Forth, chairman of Sid Valley Food Bank, said they were currently 'coping well within the bounds of current restrictions'.

She added: "I think it's great that EDDC is in a position to offer such help but at present Sid Valley Food Bank is well stocked, has a super band of volunteers coping well within the bounds of current restrictions.

"Consequently we feel it only fair not to apply for a grant just now when there are doubtless other more needy organisations."

East Devon District Council's Coronavirus Food Fund provides funding for food related projects during the Coronavirus crisis.

Grants of between £500 and £2,500 are available. To find out more about the fund, see previous projects that were given grants, and apply, visit East Devon District Council's website HERE.
