Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth will reopen again tomorrow, at the same time as the The Clock Tower café starts serving takeaways - meaning customers can enjoy 'a little piece of heaven' with a slice of cake.

Owner Justine Fraser said: "We are beyond excited to be opening up the café for takeaways to all of our friends and customers.

"It's been a long few weeks for us all; everyone has been so supportive of our community-driven venture to take our food to the home, and we've really enjoyed being of service too.

"It's been a great success which we will definitely continue and to build upon going forwards.

"But tomorrow is all about saying hello to old friends and faces; we hope everyone stops by and supports us.

"We're open from 10am until late in the afternoon, and we hope for seven days a week, but these times and days will depend on customer demand.

"We'll be offering a lovely menu of cakes, snacks and drinks all day, with some hot food choices for lunch 12 noon – 2.30pm daily.

"Clearly, we're having to change how we work and what we do and will be observing every Government guideline necessary to keep our staff and customers safe."

The Clock Tower also offer a delivery service for those self isolating, or unable to visit the premises.

"If you're still isolating, or can't get to us for whatever reason, don't forget we can come to you," Justine added.
