A Sidmouth cafe and bar has announced that it will now be opening on Saturday evenings.

14 Miles East, named for its distance and direction from Exeter, will open from 6pm for evening meals.

Owner Debbie Ellis said: "We're opening evenings to add to the fabulous choice of eateries in Sidmouth and to showcase our different menus.

"We offer great food, which is all prepared on the premises, and drink in a lovely open airy restaurant.

"We're accredited with the Coeliac Society so the majority of our menu is gluten-free and we're dog-friendly."

Its menu features starters such as cider-braised belly pork and moules mariniere and mains such as oven-roasted hake, chicken supreme, and homemade beef burgers.
