Local care home company Doveleigh Care held its first staff party since the Covid-19 pandemic at the Wheelwright Inn in Colyford on Wednesday 16 November.
All staff members from each of its three care homes in Sidmouth, Colyton and Seaton were invited to the party, which featured a disco and a buffet.
Staff member Bex Scotland said: "The party had a great atmosphere due to all three homes being invited. We don't all get to see each other and catch up much, so it was great to socially be able to see other people.
"The food was unbelievable and the disco was brilliant as everyone got up and had a dance together. Everybody seemed really happy and enjoyed themselves and I very much look forward to the next one.
"Big thank-you to the directors, Keith and Liz Mills, for making these great events happen. It certainly makes all staff feel very appreciated."
Quality Assurance Manager, Samantha Evens, added: "Doveleigh Care's staff continue to do an amazing job; they are committed and show such compassion to each of our residents.
"They have supported each other throughout the past few years by covering shifts and being there for a chat and cup of tea. We felt the party was a good idea as staff could pop in throughout the night if they were working a late or early shift the next day."
New staff were also encouraged to join in and will be welcome at the upcoming Christmas party – for which the company directors will contribute £35 per staff member.
