Sidmouth Christmas light switch-on date confirmed

The date and time of Sidmouth's annual Christmas light switch-on has now been confirmed by Sidmouth Town Council.
It will take place on 20 November, with local musicians Vine and Dandy playing from 4.30pm, the draw for the 'Golden Ticket' held at 5.15pm, and the lights switched on by Di Fuller of Sid Valley Help, winner of the Sustainable Sidmouth Champions Awards for Community, at 5.30pm.
The Golden Ticket draw is a chance for local primary school children who received a ticket at school to win a £100 toy voucher donated by Gliddon's Toy Shop of Church Street.
The lighting is being supplied by Torbay Display and will be 'a contrast to the 2020 scheme'.
The Chair of Sidmouth Town Council, Councillor Ian Barlow, said: "This year, it is entirely fitting that Di Fuller is switching the Christmas Lights on.
"She and Sid Valley Help have been invaluable throughout the most difficult of times and continues to work tirelessly for our community."
The light display is being funded by Sidmouth Town Council, and supported by Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce.
