Sidmouth College students to take on 20km sponsored walk

Students from Sidmouth College are set to walk 20km to raise money for the school later this month, with a portion of funds raised going to charity.

The community school's walk will take place on Friday 21 October.

Ten per cent of funds will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, a charity that focuses on "improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland".

The rest of the funds raised will go towards the school and, in particular, a new covered seating area for students.

At the time of writing, £1,625 has been raised so far on website localgiving from 90 backers.
