Already the producers of an award winning gin, Sidmouth Distillery has now launched its very first vodka.

Sea Breeze has hit the shelves at The Dairy Shop in Sidmouth, owned by the man behind the town's distillery, John Hammond.

Sidmouth Nub News spoke to John about his latest liquor creation:

"Our first vodka, Sea Breeze, is made with sea lettuce hand harvested from the beach in Sidmouth.

"The Vodka has an amazing seaside aroma whilst still being clean and crisp tasting, with hints lemon and salt.

"Our still was supposed to be onsite in April, however there have been delays, so we will be waiting till the end of August for it to arrive from Kentucky.

"Our first gin, Seashore, came out in September 2017 and picked up a silver award at this year's Taste of the West awards.

"Our Rum was available at Seafest this year and we are planning a launch party for Saturday this week."

Why not pop into The Dairy Shop on Church St and be one of the first to try Sidmouth vodka?
