Sidmouth fire crews help release casualty after road accident

Sidmouth firefighters helped deal with a road accident in Beer last night (Thursday, September 2).

The incident left one person trapped in their vehicle.

Four fire crews including two from Sidmouth were called out at 9.10pm, along with a heavy rescue unit from Middlemoor, Exeter.

They used hydraulic equipment, a reciprocating saw and small tools to release the casualty, who was then handed over to ambulance crew for medical treatment.
