A Sidmouth based personal trainer and life coach is providing tailored virtual packages addressing people's mental and physical health during lockdown.

33-year-old Zara Tsigarides, who has owned ZT Fit Studios on Alexandria Industrial Estate since 2015 and has worked as a personal trainer since the age of 19, has had to temporarily shut the fitness studio due to the coronavirus.

She told Nub News: "I know it will be difficult for a lot of people being stuck indoors and away from their usual routines.

"With gyms closed and classes cancelled people will be missing physical activity along with social interaction.

"This can have a negative impact people's mental and physical health, hence why I have created a Mind + Body Fit programme especially for lockdown.

"I wanted to reach out to clients so I have designed a virtual package combining PT sessions, mindfulness and life coaching, which I'm offering for free for the first two weeks.

"A lot of people are struggling at the moment with anxiety and stress, so I provide the tools to help with feeling more present. I also focus on a person's nutrition which plays a big role in how you feel.

"I want people to rest assured that they don't need any equipment, or even a big space to make the most of my sessions - I tailor everything around the individual and adapt things to where the person is, both physically and mentally, at that moment.

"You might just have a corner of a room, with no equipment and working the programme around kids, that's fine.

"It's about overcoming any obstacles and mental barriers which prevent people reaching for their full potential."
