Organisers of Sidmouth Folk Festival are seeking accommodation to rent for performing artists and crew this summer.

They are looking for whole properties as well as single, twin, or double bed-and-breakfast rooms that would be available before, during and after the festival, which runs from 4 to 11 August.

The rentals would be for a minimum of one night and a maximum of two to three weeks.

Festival general manager Jason Knight said: "With traditional hotel and self catering accommodation in short supply at peak times in such a popular seaside resort, we're asking residents to help by renting us their properties and spare rooms to make up the shortfall."
