Sidmouth Folk Festival set to return for 69th consecutive year

Sidmouth Folk Festival will return for its 69th consecutive year next month.
Founded in 1955, the annual week-long celebration will take place from 4 to 11 August.
Alongside major concerts, there will also be ceilidhs and folk dancing, storytelling, family entertainment and youth-centred sessions, hands-on workshops and more.

The traditional start to Sidmouth Folk Festival will take place on Thursday 3 August in Market Square at 7.30pm and feature Great Western Morris, Sidmouth Steppers, Sidmouth Traditional Mummers, Mrs Midnight's and other early arrivals.
Also performing on Thursday will be Cornish musical sensations Fisherman's Friends.
