The RSPCA in Exeter is seeking someone to adopt a rabbit that has been in their care for more than five months.

Rosie, a female black-and-white rabbit, is one year of age and was brought to the RSPCA Little Valley Animal Centre in September 2021 after her previous owner could no longer keep her due to ill health.

The rabbit reportedly needs to be looked after by an experienced rabbit owner in an adult-only home with no visiting children. She also requires an outdoor hutch with a large shed or similar enclosure with an attached run - or free range of the garden.

Jo Evans, Shelter Manager at RSPCA Little Valley, said: "Rosie hasn't had the best start on life ... so we're really keen to find her a second chance at happiness.

"She can be a little sassy sometimes but we know that with lots of space, time and patience, Rosie will make a wonderful pet.

"She is looking to live with a neutered male rabbit who can become her bunny companion. Rabbits are incredibly sociable animals and so we are keen for her to be re-homed with another existing rabbit."

If you would like to adopt Rosie, email [email protected].
