A Sidmouth based Human Resources expert is helping to host a free webinar for businesses and sole traders to help them on the 'Road Map To Recovery'.

East Devon HR's Sue Cockayne is one of a team of experts working on the Road Map To Recovery project which is aiming to help businesses understand questions about staff and customer wellbeing and fears of an upcoming recession in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The project was set up after a survey of 500 small businesses and sole traders found that many have shared concerns about the future.

East Devon HR's Sue Cockayne said: "If you are feeling worried about the way forward and anxious that you don't have the resources or right information to bring your people back to work, I would like to invite you to a free one hour webinar on Thursday, June 4, at 12 noon.

"In collaboration with colleagues from business strategy, occupational health and ergonomics and myself in HR, organisational development and learning, we will be hosting this free one hour webinar to give you clear guidance and resources that can help you and your business feel more confident about getting back on the road to recovery.

"Between us we have over 80 years combined experience of working with business, so let us help you find the solution that's right for you."

Road Map To Recovery is aiming to give businesses the skills they need to flourish after the lock down is eased enough for life to return to normal.

Those skills include:

-Business strategy

-HR

-Ergonomics

-Occupational healthcare

-Wellness

-Teamwork

-Effective work culture

The webinar will be interactive using a poll, chatroom, and a Q&A session with the panel of experts.
